If you know me, you know I love the little things.  And with all the time and effort my lovely clients and their fabulous event planners put in to choosing every last detail, I know how important it is to shoot those things.  Dresses, shoes, rings and flowers.... they all make my heart sing.  Here are my favorite detail and decor shots of 2009.

I love shooting engagement sessions and portraits because I feel a little less pressure and a lot more free to play and experiment.  Last year, I got to shoot lots of couples in love, one fabulous photographer friend and an adorable family.  Here are my favorite engagement and portrait photos from 2009 -

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of parties, shopping, eating (oh, the eating!), wrapping and unwrapping. I have definitely neglected the blog. I am smack-dab in the middle of crazy, for sure.

Here's a quick catch-up....
-Dena and Adam's Mountain Gate County Club wedding was featured in The Knot: Southern California Spring/Summer 2010 issue
denaadamfeature.jpg

-Nenita and Stephen's adorable vintage-style Berkeley wedding, which took place earlier this year at the Berkeley Faculty Club, was featured on The Wedding Chicks last week (thanks ladies!)

-On a personal note, I've been loving this holiday season with Maxfield.  It's such a fun age, because he has no expectations about Christmas, or gifts, or Santa, or anything like that.  He is loving the tree, the lights, the wrapping paper and the extra attention he's been getting from mommy and daddy.  Here are a couple shots I grabbed the other night, while waiting in line to take his photo with Santa.

The studio will be closed through January 1. I wish you all a blessed holiday and a delightful New Year.

delightfully,
Chenin

I was wondering if you'll still be processing the same since you made the switch to Nikon (hooray). What will change in your workflow (if anything)? THANKS! (01.05.10 @ 12:44 PM)
