So every few months, I think of a big long list of things I should have blogged about but forgot to…. In the past, my answer to this was to provide my loyal readers with a completely random list of thoughts/announcements/judgments/things-no-one-cares-about. So here goes -
- The new Streetlight Manifesto album came out this week. For those who want to know how I make pretty pictures, it has nothing to do with my 5d, my new 85mm lens or the Totally Rad Actions and EVERYTHING to do with this kick-ass band. So, if you want to make pretty pictures you should buy Somewhere in the Between by Streetlight Manifesto. No, seriously, this album rocked my sock off and you should really consider expanding your musical repertoire to include punk with horns. It’s like punk without horns, only better.
-It turns out that Barry Bonds is a liar, a cheater and a disappointment to baseball. Who knew?
- I am obsessed with the show Pushing Daisies. If you haven’t seen it, you should totally set your Tivo right now. It’s like someone took the way I see, think and exist and turned it in to a show. The color is amazing, the story is delightfully morbid and I am in love with the dog, Igby.
-Speaking of dogs…. Murray apparently is under the impression that, once you turn 14, you can wee on the carpet.
- Dear Crocs,
Please go away. You are the less-attractive step-cousin to the Jelly Shoes of the 80′s. I counted a total of 200 pairs of you on my recent visit to Disneyland. I find it especially disturbing that you have worked your way in to mainstream stores like Nordstrom. What’s more disturbing, you find it perfectly acceptable to don the feet of both the young and old alike. Just please, please go away (and bring tube-tops and mini back-packs with you!)

- I cut all my hair off. Like, A LOT of hair…. probably about 12 inches.
- I am on my way to Hawaii next week. We’re going for a little Thanksgiving dinner, some rest and relaxation, and some North Shore surfin’. Despite my intense fear of water and dolphins, I am determined to learn to surf. Or maybe I’ll just sip champagne on the beach…. not sure yet.
- Speaking of Thanksgiving… the only thing worse than stepping on the scale the day after Thanksgiving, is going to the mall on the day after Thanksgiving. It’s a miserable experience, filled with scarce parking, amateur shoppers and long lines – there’s a reason why they call it Black Friday.
