Angie and Brian are such a cute couple and it was really a pleasure to photograph their special day. They started the day with an intimate ceremony at Wayfarer's Chapel, followed by a beautiful reception at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center. Kathy Recchia with Save the Date Events was the coordinator for this lovely couple, and did a fantastic job keeping the day running smoothly. Bobbe Vagel and his wonderful partner, Todd, did the gorgeous florals for this event. To top it off, one of my favorite bands, The Dwight Kennedy Band, provided the awesome entertainment at Angie and Brian's reception. It was a great day, a great couple and great team :)

When Jen first called me and asked if I was available for their wedding date (also my birthday), I didn't hesitate for a second. I have been dying to shoot at the Mavimon since I first heard of it, about 3 years ago. The fact that it was for an awesome couple with great style and warm hearts made it even more appealing to me.
I get to shoot a lot of weddings, and each one is so special in it's own way, but somehow I knew Jen and Patrick's wedding would be extra, extra special. And I wasn't disappointed. This wedding wasn't about fancy decor or an ocean-view locale; instead, it was about two people sharing their version of a perfect wedding. And, I have to say, it was absolutely perfect for this delightful couple.

The bride got ready with the help of her closest friends -

Jen and Patrick chose to see eachother before their ceremony, so that they could greet each of their guests as they arrived. Here are a couple shots from their "first look."

This is probably one of my favorite images that I've ever shot -

And one for the Groom -

Jen and Patrick didn't want a traditional ceremony. Instead, they chose to gather their friends and family in the courtyard of the Marvimon and conduct an impromptu and totally unscripted ceremony, complete with their two dads, who officiated.

Their dad's pronounced them husband and wife in unison - it was really an incredible moment!

And the kiss!

Some details of the fabulous venue -

I loved the simple, but totally stylish flowers -

And a couple more of the fantastic couple! -

To Jen and Patrick: It was a birthday I will never forget! Thank you for being you!

Phew! After 6 plane rides, 2 workshops, my birthday, and 2 weddings, all in the span of 7 days, I finally can get down to some blog love. Last Saturday, after teaching at Image X in New Orleans, I flew to San Francisco to shoot the gorgeous wedding of Marga and Brian. I have been looking forward to their wedding for a while, because I knew it would be a really classy wedding with a little edge. I was not disappointed! Check out this beautiful couple and their funky, sophisticated wedding -

I loved the decor at the reception -

After the ceremony, we headed to Kohl Mansion, which was an amazing venue -

Marga and Brian brought their doggies for a few photos. Boogie and Wickett are definitely tied for Second Place in the World's Cutest Dog Contest (behind my sweet Murray, of course!) -

I loved the decor at the reception -

The grand entrance -

And one last shot of Marga and Brian surrounded by their family and friends -

To Margarita and Brian: Thanks for a lovely day! Hugs to Boogie and Wickett!

Jessica and her darling husband, Radu, are in town from Dallas to shoot a wedding in the OC. I got an email from her months ago, asking if I would do a "just because" session while they were in town. I always jump at the chance to shoot other artists, because they tend to let me do my thing and have a real appreciation for my work. Jessica and Radu didn't disappoint! We had a great time hiking through the weeds and braving the freezing water temperature. Here are some favorites from their session -

Radu is a professional violinist and they wanted to incorporate his violin in to a couple photos-
