It’s wedding season again! Last Saturday we kicked it off in a big way at Ann and Mark’s Wedding at Grand Newport Plaza. We started the day bright and early with a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony -
Then it was off to the Grand Newport Plaza for a Western ceremony -

Some portraits of the happy couple -

I think Ann looks adorable in this shot!

Then it was off to the reception -

Doug’s first dance shot – I love the motion in this -

As usual, lots of cameras!

And a fun shot of us with Ann and Mark, along with Ann’s Bridesmaid, Courtney, and her fiancee, Gustavo, whose wedding we’re shooting in September!

Congrats Ann and Mark! – Chenin
On Wednesday, we shot Gloria and Gabe’s engagement session in Santa Ana. I’ve been waiting for their session for a long time, because I knew it would be a lot of fun. They’re getting married at my favorite wedding venue, [seven degrees], and they’re adorable! I smell sample album! Anyway, I wanted to share some favorites with you…

Thanks for a great time guys! -Chenin

you guys rock…how in the world do you come up with such amazing locations? do you have a little black book of incredible places that you add to as you’re walking down the street and see somewhere you’ve never shot before?

Okay, so this is kinda lame, but I hurt my ribs about three weeks ago surfing… thought it was a break (yeah! that would be badass!), but nope… the doc said that I just “strained the connective tissue.” Which sounds like such a wussie injury. But it hurt like a mofo. Sitting up in bed in the morning. Ow. Breathing… ouch. Coughing, sneezing, or laughing… double ouch. I was really, really pissed off. But the last week or so, it had been feeling a little better… not great, but bearable. So I decided to paddle out this morning and see how things went. Well – YAY! I can surf again! Of course, three weeks out of the water made me a little retarded, but after a couple hours in the mushy San-O waves, I felt like a real human being again. Just thought I’d share my stoke with y’all…

we are one healthy family with your wussie rib, my hemorrhagic ovarian cyst, and mum’s poor bum. but i’m glad you are feeling better! love you!

I just recovered from 5 weeks out of the water due to getting a mole cut off my chest topped off with flu. So it was great getting back out in to a nice warm ocean with clean 4 ft swell and only about six guys in the water. Woo Hoo… Should be in good form for a wedding to shoot tomorrow now.

glad you’re back in the water!
i miss Old Mans… -
hey man, i suck at surfing because i am currently out of shape, but if you ever are looking for anyone to go to san O with you, just give me a ring. i love me some san o…
