Jessica and her darling husband, Radu, are in town from Dallas to shoot a wedding in the OC. I got an email from her months ago, asking if I would do a "just because" session while they were in town. I always jump at the chance to shoot other artists, because they tend to let me do my thing and have a real appreciation for my work. Jessica and Radu didn't disappoint! We had a great time hiking through the weeds and braving the freezing water temperature. Here are some favorites from their session -

Radu is a professional violinist and they wanted to incorporate his violin in to a couple photos-

To Jessica and Radu (and the lovely Vanessa) - Thanks for a great time! It was a pleasure to get to know you!

Last Friday I shot Marga and Brian's engagement session in downtown Santa Ana. I specifically remember meeting Marga for the first time - she was beautiful and bubbly and had bitchin' shoes. She was definitely a girl after my own heart. And I was equally delighted to meet Brian, who is so charming. I love a guy who isn't afraid to smile :)
This couple were super-fun to shoot and were up for anything. I cannot wait until their wedding this October! I am going to *bring* it, for sure!
I use this sort of light a lot and I always appreciate when my clients are troopers. This was definitely bright and definitely hot, but Marga and Brian made it look easy!
Same light, from the other direction -
Aren't they the cutest? -
And one last shot that just sums them up so well -
To Margarita and Brian: You are such a delight! I can't wait to make the trip to NorCal for your big day!
delightfully,
Chenin

I have been looking forward to shooting Jen and Patrick's engagement session ever since they booked me. We actually never met before Wednesday, but I could tell, from chatting with Jen, that this couple was delightfully rad. And I wasn't disappointed. Jen and Patrick are a super-cool-beans couple and I can't wait to shoot their wedding in October! Ok... enough chit-chat - let's see some pics.
Jen and Patrick have awesome chemistry. This was about 10 frames in to the session, and they were already naturals!
Admittedly, I shot this to show off Jen's bitchin' shoes -
I think this is so crazy-romantic-
This was right before some disheveled looking lawyer walked by and made fun of us for not shooting in a park :) (He's probably just jealous that I was having a better day at work than him...)
To Jen and Patrick: Thanks for an awesome time! I can't wait for the wedding!
delightfully,
Chenin

Something about this is so classic Woody Allen. Maybe the cafe scene. I don't know but I'm feeling it, these are some of my favorite Chenin images. I absolutely LOVE the one with Jen's arms around Patrick -- Plus I think I'm in love with Jen's hair cut. I wonder if it will marry me?
