Last Friday, I braved the 95 degree heat to shoot Robin and Steve's engagement session. This lovely couple is getting married in a few short weeks and I'm so looking forward to what is sure to be a beautiful wedding. Here are a couple of my favorite images from their session!
And my favorite of the day (so romantic!) -
To Robin and Steve: Thanks for a fun afternoon! ... "and... I'm spent" :) (inside joke)

I just returned from an incredible trip to Chicago! Not only did my Cubbies sweep Colorado at Wrigley Field, but I had awesome seats for the whole thing! I capped off the most perfect weekend with a fabulous engagement session for the delightful Lindsay and Mark. This couple has great style, great taste in beer and are madly, deeply in love. Here are some favorites from their session -
To Lindsay and Mark: Thanks for a wonderful evening! Can't wait for the wedding!
delightfully,
Chenin

I shot Alona and Jeff's engagement session last week in downtown Laguna. I am really looking forward to their wedding later this year - they are a warm, lovely couple with great chemistry! And they were up for anything! I have tons of images that I love from their session, but here are some extra-special favorites.
I am still really enjoying the 45mm TS - I just love the softness of the images it produces -
After walking around downtown for a bit, we decided to head to the beach for some more shots -
And probably one of my favorites from the session -
To Alona and Jeff: Thanks for trusting me with your special day. I am really looking forward to it!
delightfully,
Chenin

Oh my goodness!! These shots look AMAZING! We had such a fantastic time with you! Can't thank you enough for waiting for us and making such great use of the day light we had left. Second the comments on the grain effect - we love it! Makes the shots look timeless and antique...and gorgeous. We're even more excited for the big day and can't wait to share the beautiful photos with our fam. Thanks so much again, Chenin! You rock! :)

Last week I shot Hilary and Dave's engagement session at The Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. It was a gorgeous day! It was a good time getting to know this lovely couple, who will be getting hitched later this year at La Venta Inn. Here are a couple favorites from their session -
Still playing with the tilt-shift...
I love the light on this one....

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of shooting Sarah and Rob's engagement session! I was also meeting them for the first time, which is always a fun adventure. But we hit it off immediately and I was really lucky to have their complete trust right off the bat. I know I say it every time, but my job is just so damn easy when two madly in love people give me complete trust to document their special relationship. That's exactly what Sarah and Rob gave me on Friday and I'm just really excited to share my images from that day -
I've been experimenting (again) with the 45mm Tilt-Shift - It's a real hassle sometimes, but I think it does something special for an image -
I just love Robin's expression in this one....
Taking advantage of the crowds -
Funny story about this shot - I was way high up in a tree to shoot this image and it occurred to me, after I was up there, that we were in front of the court house building where I passed up a job (as a lawyer) to continue shooting weddings. I guess I probably wasn't too cut out for such a serious job :)
And one last shot at sunset -
To Sarah and Rob: you are both remarkable people and I am so delighted that you trusted me to document your big day! I can't wait!
delightfully,
Chenin
