Jackie's book, "Wedding Photography Unveiled: Inspiration and Insight from 20 Top Photographers," is really unique because it features modern (not cheesy) images by some of my favorite photographers, organized by the major parts of the wedding day. There is a chapter on photographing bridal preparation, another chapter on shooting the ceremony, etc. My work is featured in the chapter on shooting couples' portraits, including technical data on all the images that are published. It is really the best book on wedding photography that I have seen so far and I am really honored to be included.
To Jackie: I cannot thank you enough for your hard work on this project and for including my work in your book. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you for the last year. Thank you!

Max was born at 1:20 am on Monday (2/16/09) morning. He was 8lbs, 3 oz and 19 inches long. He is perfect and healthy and divine. For those who are interested, my labor was very quick and smooth. I was taking a bath when my water broke at 7pm on Sunday night (leave it to me to find the tidiest and most efficient way to go into labor!) and, within 25 minutes, I was having contractions every 2 minutes and was 8 centimeters dilated (again, I'm terribly efficient.) After that, everything was very smooth and exactly as we wanted it. Our wonderful nurse, Pam, and my amazing husband, Doug, saw to it that I was comfy and happy and I had the most enjoyable labor a girl could ask for.

On a more practical note, I am on maternity leave through the first of April, but will be checking emails and voicemails and trying to fit consultations in here and there. I appreciate everyone's patience as we make this transition. I will reward you with my very best photography efforts this coming season and lots and lots of photos of our new little boy :)

In the meantime, I have a super-huge, mega-whopper favor to ask of my loyal blog followers :) My darling little blog, designed by the amazing team at Into the Darkroom, has been nominated for PPA's fresh blog contest! I would so appreciate it if you all could have a looksey and cast your vote for my blog. ITDR worked so hard on it and I would love for them to be recognized for their amazing work! When you go to vote, you can search by Entry #18 to find my blog.

Thanks for your support and I hope to have good baby news to report any day now :)
