Still playing catch-up from all the awesome weddings I've been shooting!  A couple of weeks ago we made the very loooooong trek to Big Bear to shoot Katy and Mike's wedding.  They are such a fun, down-to-earth couple and it was a pleasure to shoot their nuptials! Some getting ready action - The ceremony - We had gorgeous blue skies that day, so I really tried to take advantage of it (and a little Totally Rad Actions Big Blue!) Then it was reception time!  Their first dance - To Katy & Mike:  Thanks for a great time!  Hope your honeymoon was super-awesome! Delightfully Yours, Chenin

Just before vacation, I shot the super-sweet John and Laura at Veranda's in Manhattan Beach.  It's always such a pleasure to shoot at this intimate, lovely venue.  And John and Laura were so kind and wonderful to work with.  Here's some favorites from the day.... Laura getting ready - A little shot of her folks giving her away - We had some killer light for the ceremony - I love Veranda's because you can get close enough to get shots like this - Laura was so pumped to be getting married! - After the ceremony, we wandered around Manhattan Beach to shoot some portraits - I loved their cake - I love the expression on Laura's face in this image - The first dance - Laura bragged on several occasions that she introduced John to sushi, so I thought this would be a fitting ring shot for this extra-special couple - To John and Laura:  Thanks for sharing your infectious love and enthusiasm with me! Delightfully Yours, Chenin

Last week, the fabulous team of Jill Watson, White Lilac and Creme de la Creme, got together to create an amazing event for the fabulous-er Cherine and Justin. Not only are Cherine and Justin adorable, but they are two of the nicest, funnest people I know. It was such a pleasure to be a part of their exquisite wedding! Let's get down to some piccies, shall we? A little detail - And the lovely bride - A little group shot - Then it was ceremony time! I love the expression on Cherine's face in this one! - And a little dance as they walked back down the aisle - A couple of portraits - And making the best of some seriously hard light - Some of the beautiful details - The amazing cake, which was bigger than me! Cherine and Justin has this adorable senior citizen's band play during their cocktail hour. They all made the hike down the hill to play a couple of private songs for the bride and groom! - And then it was time for the real first dance - After their first dance, Cherine and Justin enterained their guests with a special visit from the USC Marching Band! I have never seen more rabid USC fans in one place at one time!- Doug came along to set up a PhotoBooth for this very lively crowd - As the party winded down, there was a little treat waiting for their guests as they departed - delightfully yours, Chenin

Thanks to all you Afternoon Delight-ers that have been waiting patiently for some more images!  I spent last week with the wonderful Coopers on a little surf trip in Rosarito, but now I'm ready to share some awesome shoots with everyone, including three killer wedding and an engagement session for a wonderful couple! To start y'all off, let's share some images from the wonderful Vanessa and  Rory's Engagament session!  I headed down to Chapman Law where Vanessa and Rory went to law school (incidentally, I also went there but never met either one of them!) and shot lots of cool photos for this super-cool couple! To Vanessa and Rory:  Thanks for exploring our old stomping grounds with me!  Can't wait 'til the Big Day! delightfully yours, Chenin

WOW!  I am so overwhelmed by the 300+ entries I received for my "Super-Duper Official 'Name That Bird' Contest!  It was a very, very difficult decision.  Some of my favorites - Pixel, Peabean, Flick,  Mr. Boutwings, Bisou, Omelette and Pecker... but nothing topped the very creative suggestions of "Gary Fong" and "Baby Jesus!"  Ultimately, some very smart person catered to my rabid love of Cubs Baseball and named my birdie Wrigley.  Congrats to Alex Hill for his winning suggestion. So, without further ado, meet Wrigley!
