Yesterday I headed to Laguna to shoot Huy and Kelly’s engagement session. When I first met with them, they had very different ideas of what they wanted for their engagement photos. Huy wanted a cool, indoor big-city feel; Kelly wanted fun and romance at the beach. I promised them both, and did my best to shift major gears in the middle of the shoot. It was a nice challenge and a lot of fun to do something indoors. And, of course, my handy-dandy video light made an appearance.
Here are some favorites from the shoot!

After a couple of cocktails, it was time to hit the beach.

And my favorite from the session (along with a little TRA2 preview….shhhhhhh)

To Kelly and Huy: Thanks for challenge and the great time!

Amazing! love your your work..I am a big fan
TRA2??? Now there’s some afternoon delight! Sometimes it’s those challenges that make photography so fun and exciting. Looks like you nailed those indoor shots. Gotta love that video light!
Awesome photographs, and I can’t wait to see the new actions!
Beautiful shots, patiently waiting for TRA2!!!
awww that last one makes my heart smile. well done.
Aahhhh!!! I need the new actions- NOW!! When are they coming out…spill the beans, come on!!
Gorgeous images. lovely settings.
How do you manage to get so perfect light inside? Any tips very well appreciated.
Cheers and keep up the good work.
BTW: I looooove the rad actions, just purchased and now I am a great fan of both you and your husband. CONGRATULATIONS for everything.
Looks like you’re lovin’ that TS lens. Does it slow you down much? Also, can you tell me what kind of power you’re video light puts out? I’m guessing its one of the small 15 of 20 watt lights. BTW, I like the pictures too.
These are gorgeous! Love your work!
Chenin great work! I wanted to comment to see if any one else sees what I see. On photo number 3 (Which is my Favorite) when you look at it there is an optical illusion that makes the photo seem like it is leaning. Yes or No!
These photos are absolutely incredible! Beautiful work.
Indeed I hope that is a TSE lens, and not photoshop. I always love it when someone busts out the TSE. 24mm or 45mm?

When is TRA2 coming out????
Beautiful! The last shot is KILLER!
