A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with the fabulous Carrie Goff at Vanessa and Rory’s wedding in Huntington Beach. It was a lovely ceremony, followed by a super-fun reception filled with beautiful details. I am a little behind on blogging, so I’m gonna get to some photos!
A shoe-shot/getting-ready shot -

A couple of shots of Vanessa -

Vanessa and Rory chose to see each other before the ceremony, which left lots of time to do some beautiful portraits -

Just a little grab shot during the ceremony -

A couple of reception details -

The grand entrance -

And a sweet little dance shot -

To Vanessa and Rory: Thanks for letting me capture your special day!
Delightfully,
Chenin
Last Sunday, I shot Brenda and Steve’s wedding at the Turnip Rose Grand Newport Plaza. I’ve been looking forward to their wedding for a while, and it was just as fun as I expected! They’re families were wonderful, the bridal party was a ton of fun and, as usual, the food was fantastic! Time to share some piccies!
The lovey bride -

Brenda was rocking some red shoes -

Comin’ down the aisle!

I love Turnip Rose, because there’s such awesome access during the ceremony -

We were blessed with some of my favorite kind of portrait light -

Just a fun little first dance shot -

Brenda’s dad gave an awesome toast -

And some shots of Brenda and Steve dancing with their folks -

To Brenda and Steve:Â Thanks for a wonderful time!

I don’t think I could ever walk in those shoes…I retired my high-heel collection at the age of 27. Now I wear converse literally every day.
Last Saturday, Victoria and Eric got married at the very cool Point Vicente Center in Palos Verdes. It’s a really cool little venue on the top of a bluff, overlooking a beautiful lighthouse. Victoria and Eric did a beautiful job tending to every little detail and the event was a true success! Here’s some favorites from this very retro-chic wedding -
I loved that Victoria’s eye-makeup matched the wall where she was getting ready -

A shot of the happy couple right after they said their vows -

Some portraits down and around PV -

Eric had this bitchin’ old Fiat and wanted to make sure they got some shots with it -

The gorgeous view from the reception -

And a little first dance shot -

To Victoria and Eric:Â Have a wonderful time in Iceland!
delightfully,
Chenin

Chenin! I love the way you captured this couple and managed to tie in all of the shades of blue to match their flowers. Gorgeous. If I were them, I would hang those ALL OVER my house! Love love love the 1st one and the Fiat one. Score.

You look fabulous in the wedding dress. Love those polkadots on your petticoat too!!!

Any ad company would pay $$$ to have these! Absolutely the best I’ve seen in a long time. Love #’s 2, 3 and of the course the FIAT! Wouldn’t be a Freiler Wedding without the “auto photo!”

Hi Vicki! Long time no see. Carol told me about your wedding. Great photos, and more importantly, I am happy for you and wish both of you a lifetime of it.

Hi all, I came across this page looking for pictures of the center because I will be getting married there next summer. I love what you did with the outdoor lighting and was wondering if anyone on this site could tell me where you rented/ bought them from and how difficult it was to set up. I left a link to our wedding website or you can email me at michelleandj@gmail.com. Thanks in advance for any helpful information, and congratulations on your wedding!
-
HI: congratulations! I too came across this page looking for pictures of the center. I will be getting married in Oct. 2008 So it will be in doors, but your outdoor set up looked AMAZING! Can you share who you rented with etc? let me know. thanks so much!

Hello, Just browsing and came across this site. I recognised the names of the bride and groom as well as the pictures because we catered it. Thanks! Carol

ha! I love that “we’re married!” reaction coming down the aisle. Classic!
I love the tender moment shot of her head leaning against him…so sweet!
these are beautiful, chenin! the flowers are so fresh and vibrant. my fave is the recessional shot; the fact that the groom did the “yessss” move is classic.
