When Jen first called me and asked if I was available for their wedding date (also my birthday), I didn’t hesitate for a second. I have been dying to shoot at the Mavimon since I first heard of it, about 3 years ago. The fact that it was for an awesome couple with great style and warm hearts made it even more appealing to me.
I get to shoot a lot of weddings, and each one is so special in it’s own way, but somehow I knew Jen and Patrick’s wedding would be extra, extra special. And I wasn’t disappointed. This wedding wasn’t about fancy decor or an ocean-view locale; instead, it was about two people sharing their version of a perfect wedding. And, I have to say, it was absolutely perfect for this delightful couple.

The bride got ready with the help of her closest friends -
Jen and Patrick chose to see eachother before their ceremony, so that they could greet each of their guests as they arrived. Here are a couple shots from their “first look.”
This is probably one of my favorite images that I’ve ever shot -
And one for the Groom -
Jen and Patrick didn’t want a traditional ceremony. Instead, they chose to gather their friends and family in the courtyard of the Marvimon and conduct an impromptu and totally unscripted ceremony, complete with their two dads, who officiated.
Their dad’s pronounced them husband and wife in unison – it was really an incredible moment!
And the kiss!

I loved the simple, but totally stylish flowers -

To Jen and Patrick: It was a birthday I will never forget! Thank you for being you!
