Christie and Nate are an amazing couple with crazy chemistry. I knew when I met them, on their brief visit from Brooklyn, that their wedding would be adorable. I was not disappointed. The whole wedding, from start to finish, was filled with Nate-and-Christie-goodness. Special thanks to Marla Lackey of Cheers to You Events, who did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly!
Now time for some photos!
The Monique Lhuillier dress -

I love when grooms write sweet notes to their brides to read before the ceremony (so romantic!) -
Nate and Christie chose to see each other before the ceremony so that we had more time for photos. I always love setting this up for couples – it’s such a nice time to have a few private moments before everything gets crazy -

Some portraits of the happy couple -

Not quite a portrait, but a sweet little moment -

Two of my favorite things: Jimmy Choos and Jack Purcells -

Christie-

Nate and Christie put so much time in to the fun details at this wedding. Here are custom letterpress coasters with their silhouettes, their darling cake-topper, the programs and their “advice jars,” complete with little cards with their snapshots on one side and room for guests to write marriage advice on the other side. So cute! -

I love this shot of Christie walking down the aisle, captured by
Nic –

A couple of ceremony images -

I love this one -

A sweet little moment right after the ceremony -
A few more portraits of the beautiful couple -

Lots of cute little touches! The cake and invitation -

Nate and Christie sat their guests at two super-long tables in the outdoor courtyard -

Since Nate and Christie are from Brooklyn, they wanted to infuse some of that flavor in to their California wedding. They had sodas, their favorite micro-brew, and fresh-baked treats flown in from Brooklyn! -

The grand entrance -

Christie’s father said a beautiful prayer before dinner -

Instead of traditional champagne, Nate and Christie passed out Sofias for their toast (p.s. I love these for the beach!) -

A nighttime shot of the beautiful Casa Romantica -

The first dance -

And a sparkler exit -

To Nate and Christie: You’ve treated me like family since Day One. Thank you for your support, for welcoming Doug and Max and me into your lives, and for letting me capture your beautiful wedding.
delightfully,
Chenin
Way to go, mouse! Looks amazing!
Beautiful. You captured everything without intruding.
Hi Chenin, the photos are beautiful and it was a pleasure working with you and Nic.
Perfect day at a favorite venue, and such a darling couple.
Thanks again, looking forward to many more weddings together.
Cheers To You! ~ Marla
Stunning photos, Chenin. And she’s a stunning bride. Gorgeous!
Hey Chenin! Don’t know if I’ve ever commented…but….I just wanted to say….these are so beautiful!! Amazing job! LOVE the one just above the shoe shot!!
Chenin, great work! Looks like you are off to a great year!
This is a gorgeous set of photos. I especially love the one during the prayer. Very moving!

Amazing images of such a sweetly intimate wedding. Thank you so much for sharing, Chenin.
oh my word – these are AMAZING. we LOVE these! especially the shoe shot.
and thank you so much for the kind words – the feeling is more than mutual. you captured so many private moments so beautifully (and so unobtrusively on the wedding day). we cannot wait to see the rest!
These photos are just gorgeous, i love her dress!
beautiful!
Your wedding was so beautiful and fun. Can’t believe my eldest niece is married. So happy to be there on your special day. Love you.
OMG there are WAY too many to name my fave!!!! I looove the pic before the one of them praying, the one of them praying, their dance….such a cute couple…oh and the details pics….I love them all!!
Love the bathroom shot!
:)
these are beautiful! I love the little moments alone before and right after the ceremony. beautiful!
I can see clearly now what I mostly saw through tears at the wedding..You are right when you say that these two are a great match..and they have the “crazy chemistry”..the kind that mothers notice from the first. I’m so glad that you captured the shot of Helene and me holding hands at the prayer. The `put your head on my shoulder’ and windswept veil shots rival any to be found in wedding publications! And that “feet” pic is just the cutest thing! Thanks so much for your lovely work.
Just came across your blog– simply gorgeous, inspiring work. And with a new baby?! You’re my hero!
I love this post! Your rocked it!!!
xoxoxo
Hey, Chenin, beautiful work !! I especially like the prayer and the outdoor portraits with the water in the background. I had to look twice, however, at the photo of the first dance. At a quick first glance, it looked like a cigarette in the groom’s mouth, but it’s just the white from his collar. Does anyone else see this ? I know how fleeting first dance moments are, however, and it’d be impossible to just watch for background and not the wonderful emotion that were on their faces. I mean no disrespect, it’s just that sometimes I see things and wonder if others see them too ??
super good. i like that first t/s portrait a LOT.
